Monitaly Mens Rider's Coat $450
So a friend of mine recently posted a photo of a man wearing the jacket above-- and I fell in love. Even though I'm not a guy, I can still appreciate mens fashion, right? It's part of my job anyways and I don't mind checking out all the cute male models too :)

This Monitaly wool coat has the perfect 70's vintage inspired vibe to it. Large collar, colorful horizontal stripes and even has handwarmer pockets. Seriously, this coat is perfect for Minnesota weather.

1970s Yellow Plaid Hunting Coat $89
I love the earth tone colors of this jacket and massive pockets! Designed by Ranch Wear, this genuine 70s wool coat will definitely keep your man warm.

Affliction Leather Bomber in Black $476
If you've ever seen any of the motorcycle gang movies from the 50s and 60s, you'll know why I like this jacket.

The leather is pieced together in a very detailed way. The black studs add that hardcore touch, without being overly "punk rock". I think one of my favorite things about this leather bomber are the zippers at the wrists. It's got a retro flare to the sleeve and slim fit that would easily turn any girl's head.

1960s Army Jacket size Medium $42
Okay, so this is my own mens coat-- but I couldn't resist. I just think this coat would look good on any man!

Large breast pockets and finely detailed buttons really add some masculine charm to this piece.

You know, there is something really funny about me. I have NEVER been to a vintage sale/show. Not once. NEVER. Can you believe that? Sometimes I can't. But that is all about to change because just in time, the Twin Cities Vintage clothing, jewelry and textile show is coming to town on June 1st-2nd!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to find any profitable deals, but it's worth checking out! Admission is $7 on Friday with $1 off if you dress in vintage (not hard for me...) PLUS this could be another market I could sneak into...it seems like so much fun! I know if all you vintage hounds came saw my studio/giant-pile-and-racks-of-vintage-clothing-and-accessories I would never get you to leave. Just sayin' :)

Anyways, this show is quite the big deal-- celebrity fashion designers, costumers and theatre productions all show up to find the vintage look they (or their clients) have been craving. I shall have to report back with photos and info on the experience-- maybe you'll see some of my finds in the store... who knows?

I have recently been overstocking on quite a bit of vintage clothing & home decor items in the event that I started moving to my own domain-- well here she is!
I am still hosting over half of my retail products on Etsy.com, but my own online shop allows for flexibility in pricing & more options when it comes to proper shipping costs. Vintage clothing is becoming even more popular...and with that, I am also adding a mens vintage clothing section soon. One of my friends asked me why I had so many "Mad Men inspired dresses" but no suits? I had no answer. I had forgotten the suits.
So here is to a new start and new site! I am very excited to get Bonfire Vintage up and running and help customers fall in love with the vintage finds of Bonfire Vintage.
The grand opening for Bonfire Vintage is set for Friday, June 8th, 2012! Make sure to get online and check out our huge sale full of vintage dresses, suit jackets, shoes, vintage jewelry, and retro decor. Sign up for our e-mail newsletter to receive an exclusive member coupon.
